DESCRIPTION:Inner Sun Consulting supports the personal development of youth
  and young adults and the professional development of educators\, service 
 providers\, leaders and other corporate staff. We provide socially relevan
 t educational and training content that encourages critical thinking and e
 xplains multiple perspectives through organized curriculum\, dialogue &amp
 \; storytelling\, entertainment and multimedia. We at Inner Sun have a pro
 found ability to facilitate conversations on complex and uncomfortable top
 ics. Our clientele ranges from servicing one school classroom at a time to
  facilitating statewide initiatives in collaboration with government agenc
 ies and corporate giants such as the Los Angeles Dodgers.\n\nLeadership De
 velopment\nSessions will be offered multiple times throughout the year. Ea
 ch session will cover all the below topics:\n\nA Trauma Informed Approach 
 to Community Engagement and De-escalation\nWe define emotional/psychologic
 al trauma and address how multiple traumatic experiences over time can bot
 h weaken communal and familial bonds and create maladaptive cultural norms
  that break down the fiber of the community. We will discuss the trauma in
 formed approach to support healing and empowerment.\n\nProfessionalism and
  Leadership\nK-Rahn Vallatine will facilitate training on professionalism 
 and what it means to be a leader not only in the professional world\, but 
 also as a community service provider working with gang and drug impacted c
 ommunities. We will also explore how to overcome the internal blockages\, 
 such as self-limiting beliefs and past social norms\, that may hinder us f
 rom developing into great leaders.\n\nEffective Communication as a Leader\
 nK-Rahn Vallatine will facilitate a training on the importance of effectiv
 e communication as a leader and effective communication techniques. We wil
 l discuss the importance of intent versus impact and explore different com
 munication styles and they may be received by others.
